Tar Heel State Scanner was made for First Responders, Media, and Civilians that may not have access to expensive scanners that may or may not work for the specific county/system they are trying to monitor. Tar Heel State Scanner is made as a cheaper alternative that still gives the same exact result that a scanner would, with the point of being able to listen from anywhere you have internet access!
What sets us apart from the rest?
Unlike your typical Public Safety Live Feed, our services allow you to pick and choose which talkgroups/Channels you want to listen to, and filter out the ones you don't want to listen to. This is done through open-sourced projects.
What devices are supported?
Through open-sourced projects, our services are available on iOS, Google Play, and any internet browser!
What do we use? Its Open Sourced!
Each node is hosted off various sets of hardware that is built to that system. We use the Open-Source software called Rdio-Scanner to provide the call injest to our subscribers. We thank Christian Huot, the developer of Rdio-Scanner, and the community developers for their great work in keeping the Rdio project alive and allowing services like Tar Heel State Scanner to provide these to our subscribers!
